Our Advice for the 2026 Australian Census

It's time to complete the Australian census. When completing it, we ask all khaveyrim to consider not just the question of religion, but, of perhaps greater direct importance, two other questions:

Under 'Ancestry'

Consider ticking the "other" box and manually entering "Jewish".

Under 'Cultural Background, Languages Other Than English Spoken At Home'

Consider ticking "yes" and then under "other" manually enter "Yiddish".

The statistics derived from these questions have a huge impact on Government policy and funding.
