We are deeply saddened by the passing of khaver Abram Goldberg on September 21. Abram was the oldest member of the Bund, living until just shy of 101 years old.
When asked by Arnold Zable, “when did you become a SKIFist”, Abram responded, “when I was born”.
A proud member of SKIF, Morgnshtern, and the Bund, Abram lived the ideals of the Bund. He was a co-founder of the Melbourne Holocaust Centre, a co-founder of Sholem Aleichem College, and a long serving member of the Kadimah committee, along with his wife, the late Cesia Goldberg.
We extend our deepest condolences to Abram’s family - Helen, Charlie, Paul, Bettan, Daley, Deanna, Nastassja, Dean, Sienna, Daniel and Issi.
